On March 23rd, West Coast Cooler Fashion Week was back with a bang for Spring Summer 17 trends. As you’ve probably read in one of my very first blog posts, it took me over two years to pluck up the courage to start my blog, but even for years before that I always envied the Belfast Fashion Week attendees. I was beyond excited to attend my very first BFW this season to finally catch up on what I’ve been missing out on. Of course my outfit planning began weeks before..I’m organised when I want to be!
Opening on the Thursday evening in Life Church, Belfast, I joined many other fashionistas for the Designer Boutique and Local Designer show.
Some of the amazing outfits came from one of my favourite local designers, Nor Lisa. My excitement levels were at their peak during the show. I could feel my money start to fall out of my bank account when the models strutted their stuff past in the beautiful designer garments.
Some of the other talented Designers and Boutiques included the amazing Narah and Co, Blush Boutique, Pia Rossini and many many more! As if my first night at West Coast Cooler Fashion Week wasn’t exciting enough, Gals Goss and I were style spotted by the stunning Melissa Riddell!
My outfit details:
Top – Topshop (£28)
Skirt – Topshop (£30, sale)
Shoes – Topshop (£18, sale)
Friday night saw the ever popular High Street Heaven Show. I’d heard so many incredible reviews about this show, and the sold out tickets says it all!
The catwalk was filled with this season’s hottest patterns, colours and textures. The Director’s Cut sections were providing me with major inspiration for upcoming outfits for events and night’s out. Our favourite affordable high street brands Topshop, Marks and Spencer, H&M and New Look all featured as well as more beautiful local Boutiques!
My outfit details:
Jacket: Topshop (£55)
Skirt: Topshop (£35)
Top: Urban Outfitters (£6, sale)
Shoes: Topshop (£56)
Unfortunately I couldn’t make it to the following events over the weekend but the buzz around them and photos made me green with envy! My first two nights at West Coast Cooler Fashion Week were ones to remember. The Autumn Winter 17 shows can’t come quick enough!
Thanks to Aisling (Gals Goss) for being my date for both events and for constantly supporting me, West Coast Cooler for the treats and drinks, and the wonderful Cathy Martin..the reason we all get to attend amazing events like Belfast Fashion Week.
