Creating the Hollywood Glam Look

I am by no means a make-up artist, however, I really enjoy experimenting with make up. Welcome to my first make-up tutorial blog post. I decided to create a simple look that’s perfect for a formal or a night out.

The go-to, popular Hollywood Glam look doesn’t have to take you hours on end to achieve. I created this look in under 10 minutes with Lola make-up products.

To Begin

I started by priming my face with an illuminating primer (just an Asda one I found in Mummy’s make-up drawer) to give a healthy glow to my skin. I then used the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Shaping Stick Foundation and blended with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, popped some setting powder on my oily areas, followed by contouring with Rimmel Natural Bronzer. To define my brows I used the Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil.

Eyes and Lips

Using the Lola Automatic Eye pencil, carefully draw a feline flick. I’ve always found it difficult to ensure both of my eyes look the same when I’m drawing my wings, but I recently watched a local blogger’s (Cosmetics Junkiee) tip on creating the perfect eyeliner.

Moving onto the red lip. Using the Lola Lip Pencil in the shade cherry, draw on the outer line of the shape of your lips. Try not to draw too far over your lips; we don’t want a Hollywood clown. Follow your lipliner with the Lola Matte Long Lasting lipstick in the shade Merry Berry.

To style this hair look, I had my hair plaited for two days. You could use a curling wand. Move your hair into a side parting so that one side of your hair is a lot heavier on one side, spray the section with less hair and move behind your ear.

Et voila!
