The North Coast’s Hidden Gem

I went to university in Coleraine and lived in Portstewart for 2 years during my studies. I haven’t visited Portstewart since I left uni (almost two years ago, eek!) and genuinely missed the relaxed vibe there. The girls and I were lucky enough to be invited to stay in Me and Mrs Jones, a boutique hotel on the promenade.Me and Mrs Jones opened its glamourous doors in 2017. If you’re planning a girl’s night, romantic trip, or even in the area for business, we’ve found the perfect hotel for you!

Each suite has its own, unique style. We were lucky enough to get a tour of most of the rooms. When we walked into the rooms our reactions were very dramatic each time because we were seeing something completely different.

My room

Understandably I had to choose the room with a huge, tin bath, stylish mirror and super-king size bed.

Aisling’s room – The Marilyn Monroe room with yet another stunning bath.

Emma’s room – The remote control curtains and beautiful bathroom.

Melissa’s room – The teal features, dreamy make up table and comfy bed.

Before we had got to the hotel I had checked out the menu…of course, because all I think about is food! I had heard how tasty the steak was, however I opted for the pan seared Seabass which did not disappoint.

Once we had finished dinner it was time for a few drinks with the girls.  The bar in the hotel is quiet, therefore perfect for a romantic night with your other half. The drinks are VERY reasonably priced.

Portstewart has sssoooooo many cafes, restaurants, bars and ‘nic-nac’ shops to potter through, as well as a pretty beach walk, i.e. why it’s one of my favourite places in NI. It’s the perfect location for a relaxing weekend or during the summer with family!

I will 100% be back to stay at the beautiful hotel when I get the chance to visit old friends from uni.
