Priced at £5, this foundation has already got one point on the pro list. After purchasing the bargain foundation, I tried and tested it to see what the hype was about.
Released just a few months ago, I truly struggled to get my hands on ‘My Perfect Colour’. Each time my local Primarks had it in stock, it sold out within a day or two! I knew there HAD to be something worth trying if this was the case.
The shade – When I finally spotted it in the Belfast store, I went for the ‘toffee’ shade. Toffee was the perfect match for when I had my tan on. If I was to buy it again, I would definitely go a shade lighter for days when I don’t wear fake tan.
The coverage – I’m a full coverage foundation kind of gal. The complexion of my skin is not something I’d be confident with.
Worth the hype? 90%. The foundation is said to be an Estee Lauder Double Wear dupe. After using Double Wear years ago, it’s still one of the biggest selling foundations on the market. My Perfect Colour Longwear Ultimate Matte Foundation is up there with Double Wear coverage, however in my opinion, it didn’t wear as well as DW would have. Double Wear is known for lasting 24 hours – personally I wouldn’t be wearing make-up for 24 hours straight – My Perfect Colour lasted well for up to 8-9 hours before I could start to see it starting to wear off in patches. 8-9 hours is still very impressive for a £5 foundation!
Would I recommend? I would highly recommend My Perfect Colour as an everyday foundation. At only £5, it isn’t like it’s a massive amount out of your pocket if you don’t LOVE it.
I give this foundation 4/5 Katie Kisses
