You may have read my Style Diary from Galway, but now it’s time to get down to business and talk about the glorious food offered up in the city.
Before we headed down in August, I asked my Instagram followers for some suggestions of their favourite places to eat in Galway.
Dough Bros
First trip – As soon as we got up on Saturday we went straight to Dough Bros. Have you ever had pizza for ‘brunch’? I highly recommend it. I went for the Peter Stinger which was probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had and Caolan had the Proper Ham and Mushroom – I’m not a fan of mushrooms so I passed.
Second trip – the second taste of Dough Bros was in O’Connell’s Bar, washed down with beer and cider. Delish!
Ard Bia
Probably one of the most delicious and quaint restaurants we have ever been too. I’d go back to Galway this weekend just to eat here again. But, I do recommend booking to avoid disappointment! Their menu changes quite frequently so I may not be able to recommend these dishes in case they are no longer available.
The Kitchen
Brunch spots = essential. The Kitchen is located in a museum so once you’ve fuelled up on breakfast, you can dander around!
Gourmet Food Parlour
A chain but one that hasn’t lost the quality of their food as the quantity of restaurants increases. We’ve been to the GFP in Malahide brunch and it was delicious as well!
I cannot wait for another trip to Galway to discover more eateries! Have you ever visited?
Kisses
