Growing up, my beauty and body inspirations were always Victoria’s Secret models. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel, Izabel Goulart, Adriana Lima; you name the angel, I aimed to be them. However, in the past few years as my body has changed, my body goals have altered. Don’t get me wrong, I still think the named models are stunning, despite that I don’t look up to them any longer. I’ve realised I’m never going to be 5’11, nor will I ever drop to a size 6…basically because I love food too much. Continue reading “The Bikini Diaries”
University is the first major chance most young people get to move out of their parents’ house and get a taste of the “independent, adult life”. It can make or break you; preparing your own meals, cleaning your own house, washing your own clothes. Well, I’m sure not everyone succeeds at these tasks as much as others do. But let’s be honest, student life is not “real, adult life”. Continue reading “Moving Home”
I have many life goals. One of them being successful and wealthy enough to treat myself to some designer goods. But for now, I’m sticking with my ‘designer dupes’. I live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget, unfortunately. Continue reading “Designer Dupes”
With a new job, a blog and keeping up a social life my life has become increasingly busy. I’m not complaining! I’ve found myself shopping online more than venturing into the big smoke to spend the money burning a hole in my pocket. Missy Empire is my go-to online store when I need a new outfit. I’ve been a huge fan of their brand for months and months. Missy Empire are all for girl power, affordable fashion AND supporting bloggers and influencers. What more could a girl want?! Thursday saw the press launch of Belfast Fashion Week and I couldn’t have been more excited. I had been looking forward to this event all summer, planning an outfit idea, discussing with fellow bloggers what they would be wearing and how eager we were to see what Cathy had in store for us. Continue reading “West Coast Cooler Fashion Week – AW Launch at Bullitt Hotel”
Accessorize and Monsoon fragrances are quite the treat. More and more high street names are releasing fragrances that would remind you of the store, drawing customers back in. The jewellery and clothing brands launched their own fragrances last year, matching each target client with their own impeccable scent. Get your wish list at the ready, you may want to add these perfumes to it! Continue reading “Changing Scents with the Seasons”
Pesto pasta, pesto chicken, pesto and salad, pesto risotto… it can be teamed with any great meal! After having not eaten the Italian delight for years I decided to make my own fresh sauce. I made a little change to mine that may not make it a traditional pesto. I’m not a huge lover of cheese, especially parmesan, which is often included in pesto. Therefore I chose not to add it to my recipe, but if you’re a fan go ahead and add it!
2 cloves of garlic
Juice of 1 lemon
40g pine nuts
5 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Give the basil a quick wash.
Slice the lemon and juice it into whatever you will be making the pesto in (I used a blender).
Crush the garlic cloves.
Place all ingredients into a blender and blitz until green.
I enjoyed my pesto on top of chicken and courgetti! Try my idea or on a pasta dish.
Lemon Drizzle cake is a popular treat, however it is full of sugar! I created this Lemon and Raspberry Loaf, taking elements from a lemon drizzle cake and adapting it to a healthy snack. Continue reading “Lemon and Raspberry Loaf”
